Good email delivery is important. One of the best ways to improve your email delivery is to authenticate your sending domain with Mail Blaze servers. This is done by adding SPF & CNAME records to your domain’s DNS file. If you are unable to do this yourself, your hosting company should be able to put this in place for you.
Authenticating your domain means that you are proving to the subscriber’s email server that the Mail Blaze IPs that are sending your email have the permission to do so.
Let’s start by creating an SPF record with the following details:
v=spf1 mx a include:spf.mbsrvs.com ~all
Your domain might already have an existing SPF record which means that you simply need to incorporate the records above into your own.
The next step is to create a new CNAME record with the following details:
NOTE: Your control panel might automatically append [YOUR DOMAIN] at the end of the Name (in your CNAME record), in which case you don't need to manually include it.
This step is applicable only If you have a DMARC security protocol enabled in your domain, otherwise please skip the instructions below and proceed in Verifying your Settings.
"v=spf1 mx a include:spf.mbsrvs.com ~all"
NOTE: Please use the effective SPF value after adding our recommended SPF verification entry.
VERIFY YOUR SETTINGS ON MAIL BLAZE
If you haven't verified your domain, you will see the below screen.
Once you've added the records above, please log into your Mail Blaze account and click Your Account Name > VERIFIED DOMAINS:
CREATE A NEW DOMAIN VERIFICATION RECORD:
Select CREATE NEW and enter your domain in the Domain Name text field. Please be sure to leave out 'www' from your domain.
Select SAVE AND VERIFY.
You should see 'green check marks' beside the DKIM, SPF and DMARC record entries after properly adding the verification entries.
If you do not have a DMARC record, you should see 'green check marks' beside DKIM and SPF then the Domain Verified field will say "Partially Verified".
If you have a DMARC record and properly added all DKIM, SPF and DMARC record, then you have all 'green check marks' beside them. The Domain Verified field will also show "Verified".
If you're unable to get it to verify, please contact the support team who will be able to assist you.
UPDATE AN EXISTING DOMAIN If you have already created the Domain Name record and it shows “no”, then once you've made the changes, please select the domain record and select SAVE AND VERIFY to resubmit the test.
