How to Sync your List
Keeping more than one list is normal, but it can get messy fast. People move, unsubscribe, or get added in different places. When lists are not in sync, you risk sending the wrong message, or missing people completely.
Syncing your lists fixes this. It keeps your data clean and consistent across all lists. It also gives you control over what should happen when there are differences between lists.
How to sync your lists
- Go to LIST in your dashboard, click on LIST ACTION, then select SYNCHRONIZE.

- Choose your PRIMARY LIST (this will be your reference)
- Choose your SECONDARY LIST (will be updated based on the rules you set)

-
Set your actions:
- What to do with missing subscribers
- How to handle duplicates
- What to do when statuses don’t match
-
Click SYNC to confirm.
How syncing handles common cases
Missing subscribers
This is when a subscriber exists in your primary list but not in the secondary list.
You decide what to do:
- Add them to the secondary list so no one is missed
- Or ignore them if the second list should stay limited
This helps you avoid gaps in your communication.
Duplicate subscribers
This is when the same subscriber appears in both lists.
Instead of creating duplicates, syncing keeps one clean record. This avoids sending the same email twice and keeps your reports accurate.
Different subscriber status
This is when the same subscriber exists in both lists but has a different status (for example, subscribed in one list and unsubscribed in another).
You can choose to:
- Update the secondary list to match the primary list
- Or remove the subscriber from the secondary list to avoid conflicts
This helps you stay consistent and respect subscriber preferences.
Syncing your lists is a simple step that prevents bigger problems later. It keeps your data accurate, reduces manual work, and helps you send the right message to the right people. Over time, this leads to better engagement and fewer errors in your campaigns.
